Buddhism

So today because it had 10 less minutes per class we only talked about the rest of Buddhism. There are 500 million to 1.5 billion people practicing this religion. There are 1.2 million people in the united states that are Buddhists and 40% of them are in southern California. The most common places for these religions are in southeast Asia, China, Nepal, and Japan Buddhism is a very calm religion and is often thought of as a way of life or faith rather than a religion. Because of that people often think of themselves as both Buddhists and Christians or other religions. The founder of this religion is Siddhartha Gautama. He achieved enlightenment wile sitting and fasting under a tree. Siddhartha Gautama(Buddha) gave us the four noble truths which was the epiphany and the path to achieving this is through the eight-fold path which is having the right view, intention, speech, action, livelihood, effort, dedication, and mindfulness.
